Symptom
Unstable cutting air pressure, pressure alarm, intermittent air output, no gas discharge, abnormally high gas consumption, and fluctuating cutting section quality.

Possible Causes
- Insufficient gas cylinder pressure, valves not fully opened, or improper switching of the cylinder manifold.
- Damaged pressure reducing valve, fatigued pressure regulating spring, resulting in continuous output pressure drift.
- Air leakage at pipe joints, air hoses or solenoid valves.
- Water accumulation in the filter and blocked filter element, which blocks the airflow passage.
- Stuck solenoid valve or aging coil, failing to open and close the gas circuit normally.
- Dust accumulation and blockage inside the air cavity of the cutting head and the air channel of the lens holder.

Solutions
-
- Check the residual pressure of gas cylinders, replace cylinders on schedule, and confirm that the main valve and outlet valve are fully open. For dual-cylinder gas supply, inspect the automatic switching device.
-
- Close the output end and calibrate the pressure reducing valve separately. Replace the valve directly if the pressure cannot stay stable.
-
- Apply soapy water to all joints, valves and air pipes for leak detection. Retighten or replace fittings after finding leakage points.
-
- Drain water from the filter every day and replace the filter element regularly. Add a drying device for humid environments.
-
- Test the on-off signal of the solenoid valve. If there is power but no gas comes out, the valve core is stuck. Clean or replace the solenoid valve after power-off.
-
- Disassemble and clean the gas channel of the cutting head to remove dust and impurities, and perform leak detection again after reassembly.

Notes
- Before replacing gas or maintaining the gas circuit, make sure to turn off the gas source, release residual pressure in pipelines and take safety protection measures.
- Oxygen is an oxidizing gas. Keep pipelines free of oil stains to avoid fire hazards.
- Set corresponding gas supply pressure for different processes (oxygen cutting for carbon steel, nitrogen cutting for stainless steel). Do not mix parameters.
