1. Laser nozzle selection

The nozzle diameter affects the airflow shape, gas diffusion area, and flow rate, which in turn affects the cutting quality and stability. Select the appropriate nozzle diameter to ensure the airflow speed and pressure to obtain the ideal cross-sectional effect. At the same time, perform a coaxial test to ensure that the nozzle is coaxial with the laser output beam.

 

2. Frequency control

By adjusting the frequency, the optimal frequency range can be found. Reducing the frequency within the range of 500-200Hz will make the cutting cross-sectional effect more delicate. When the frequency drops to 100Hz, it may be impossible to cut. At this time, it is necessary to adjust the number of pulses and the single pulse energy to achieve the best match.

 

3. Duty cycle adjustment

The duty cycle directly affects the cutting quality. 53% is the critical value. Continuing to reduce the duty cycle may result in the lower surface not being cut through, while increasing the duty cycle may result in a rough section and obvious stratification. According to the section effect, adjust the duty cycle appropriately.

 

4. Focus speed optimization

The focus position is crucial to the cutting quality. Different materials and thicknesses require different focus positions. Before cutting, measure the actual zero focus, refer to the Chuangxin cutting process parameters, and determine the most suitable focus position.

 

5. Parameter determination

According to the section stratification, reduce the frequency or appropriately reduce the positive focus; when the section is yellowing, reduce the duty cycle. Increasing the frequency or increasing the duty cycle can increase the speed, but the section effect may deteriorate. It is necessary to adjust the parameters according to the actual situation to achieve a balance.
