Symptom
Laser source alarm pops up, no laser output, intermittent light emission, laser power drops obviously, machine stops cutting suddenly.
Possible Causes
- Abnormal communication signal between laser source and control system.
- Over-temperature protection triggered due to poor heat dissipation of the laser source.
- Optical fiber damage, loose fiber connector or contaminated fiber end face.
- Internal fault of laser source module or power supply failure.
- Dust and moisture entering the laser source cabinet.
- Mismatch of laser parameter settings.
Solutions
- Restart the equipment, check the communication cable and plug, re-plug firmly if loose.
- Check the chiller operating status, confirm water temperature and flow meet requirements, clean the heat exchanger if blocked.
- Power off and inspect the optical fiber; do not touch the end face directly. Clean the end face with special fiber paper if dirty, replace the fiber once cracked.
- Read the alarm code of laser source, contact the supplier for maintenance when module or power supply fails.
- Keep the laser cabinet sealed well, regularly clean the filter screen of the cabinet fan.
- Restore the factory default cutting parameters or import the correct parameter file.
Notes
- Do not open the laser source cabinet without authorization to avoid high voltage risk.
- The optical fiber end face is precision component, keep it clean and dry all the time.
- Solve the overheating problem before restarting the laser to prevent permanent damage.
